Logistics company Parceljet Information Technology LLC is making strides in the U.S. market by entering the Chicago area. This Frankfurt, Germany-based firm has secured a significant presence in the Midwest by signing a five-year lease for a massive space in Montgomery. The new location at 900 Knell Road covers 239,000 square feet and aims to enhance the company's delivery capacity across the United States, according to the Chicago Business Journal .

The selected facility offers prime features suitable for logistics operations, such as a 30-foot clear height, 17 docks, and vast parking availability for trailers and vehicles. Seen as an "ideal building for logistics users," the site promises substantial advantages for Parceljet's expanding U.S. operations as noted by Danielle Radtke, senior VP of asset management for the Central Region at CenterPoint Properties, who oversees the location. Additionally, this new space is part of a 992,000-square-foot complex built in 1960 and renovated in 2000.

Radtke mentioned that the property also holds another vacant unit of 126,000 square feet that is immediately available. The deal was brokered with significant contributions from George Cibula and Rick Daly of DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC International, representing CenterPoint, and Eric Yao of Pacific ProPartners, representing Parceljet, reported Chicago Business Journal .

Parceljet's strategic move underscores its ambition to scale operations in the United States, increasingly positioning itself within key transportation hubs such as Chicago. With the improved infrastructure and capacity, Parceljet aims to meet rising demand in the competitive logistics market.
