Zelensky arrives in Paris for talks with Macron

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Paris on Thursday for talks with French leaders.

Zelensky's visit came after a stopover in London. TV images showed Zelensky being received by French President Emmanuel Macron.

This is Zelensky's fifth visit to France since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of his country in February 2022. He is also expected in Rome and Berlin on his tour of European capitals.

A key part of his visit is the presentation of his "victory plan."

Following his talks in London, Zelensky said his plan "aims to create the right conditions for a just end to the war," Britiain's Press Association (PA) reported.

Zelensky has been pushing for permission to use Western-supplied weapons to hit military targets deep inside Russian territory.

A planned meeting with US President Joe Biden at Ramstein US military base in Germany was postponed after Biden decided to stay in the US to deal with the effects of Hurricane Milton.

Zelensky had wanted to present his strategy for ending the war to a larger group of allies in Ramstein.
