Titans-Saints trade proposal from NFL analyst gives New Orleans much-needed OL help

The Tennessee Titans are currently on the road to nowhere in 2024 after a 1-3 start, and it's very possible the Titans will be sellers at the trade deadline if things keep going the way they're going.

Knowing that, CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin believes offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill could be someone who gets moved by the Nov. 5 deadline, and he suggested the New Orleans Saints as a possible landing spot for the veteran.

"If (the Saints) don't spend everything on a splashy new wideout, they'd be best-served bolstering Carr's front," Benjamin wrote. "Brunskill has quietly been a full-timer on the interior before, including for the 49ers."

Brunskill is serving as a backup for Tennessee, but he was more than serviceable as the starting right guard in 2023. In 14 games last season, Brunskill gave up just two sacks and 26 pressures. He was also a full-time starter for two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and has the ability to play either guard or center.

The Saints could definitely use help upfront, as the team has been hit hard by injury and currently ranks 29th and 19th in pass-block and run-block win rate, respectively, per ESPN . Brunskill would offer the Saints a proven option on the interior, whether that be as depth or as a starter.

Seeing as how Brunskill is in the final year of his contract and is not being used, and with the Titans heading for a lost season, there's definitely a chance Tennessee would be willing to move him, and he's unlikely to cost much. A late-round pick should be enough to get it done.
