Milford Senior Center will hold “Milford Thrive” on Friday, October 11

Milford Senior Center will host “Milford Thrive” on Friday, October 11 from 9 AM until 2 PM. The event is free to attend and is designed to promote healthy living for seniors.

“We will have all types of activities going on at the senior center,” Ryan Conroy, one of the organizers of the event said. “Some of the vendors include the Biggs Museum, Delaware State Housing Authority, PAM Health and more. We are also offering door prizes as each vendor is bringing a prize worth $50 or more and each person coming in will get a ticket for the drawings.”

In addition to vendors, Conroy explained that there will be demonstrations of Tai Chi, cardio drumming and tours of the senior center for those who have never visited. Conroy explained that they have done similar events in Dover which are very well attended with people coming from surrounding states.

“This is a great event if you want to talk to healthcare professionals or learn about things to do in the community,” Conroy said. “We are hoping to make this a regular event in Milford as well.
