The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions square off in a high-stakes NFC showdown as the former attempts enters one of the toughest stretches in its 2024 schedule and the latter continues to do everything in its power to sit atop the NFC.

It's a game with some rivalry brewing within it after an epic 2023 showdown that came down to the wire. Here's what you need to know about the matchup, from where to watch to spotlight players to betting odds.

    Let's dive in.

How to watch and stream Cowboys vs. Lions in Week 6

    • National TV: FOX
    • Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews, Tom Rinaldi (sideline)
    • Time: 3:25 p.m. CT
    • Streaming option 1: NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTubeTV
    • Streaming option 2: NFL+ (Only on Mobile devices)

    Cowboys players to watch

    • QB Dak Prescott: The Lions passing defense remains inconsistent, ranking 21st in EPA/play allowed versus the pass. Prescott turned the ball over three times last weekend but also made remarkable plays. Look for him to exploit the Lions' coverage early and often.
    • CB DaRon Bland: It seems like the Cowboys are getting their All-Pro cornerback back on Sunday. How much he'll play remains a question as the coaching staff has talked about Bland being on a pitch count. But can they afford that against a high-powered offense like Detroit's?
    • RB Rico Dowdle: The Lions' run defense can be stingy thanks to their aggressive style of play, with linebackers that love to run downhill with force. Dowdle had himself a big game last weekend and sparked some hope for the Cowboys' rushing offense.

    Lions players to watch

    • EDGE Aidan Hutchinson: Once again, the Cowboys offensive tackles will have their hands full with one of the league's best pass rushers. Hutchinson leads the NFL with 40 pressures and moves around a lot. He'll make some plays this Sunday.
    • WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: St. Brown is an explosive playmaker with 252 receiving yards thus far. He's Jared Goff's go-to target. If the Cowboys can slow him down, it'll only be the start as the Lions have more weapons such as Sam LaPorta and Jameson Williams.
    • RB David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs: These two have to go together. Montgomery is getting more attempts and is averaging a solid 4.3 yards per attempt while boasting six explosive rushes (10+ yards). Gibbs averages 5.3 yards per attempt, in large part because he's had five attempts go over 15 yards, the fifth-most in the NFL.

Betting odds: Cowboys are home underdogs

    • Spread: Cowboys +3
    • Total: 52

The high total reveals what we already know about this one: The Cowboys will likely aim to make this game a shootout, as their banged up defensive front will pose little challenge to the Lions' powerful rushing offense. Chances are the offense will be aiming for the 30s if the Cowboys want a shot at winning.

    Cowboys injuries

The Cowboys are expected to be without Micah Parsons once again, even though he hasn't been officially ruled out. DeMarcus Lawrence, Marshawn Kneeland, and Brandin Cooks all remain on Injured Reserve. Meanwhile, All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland was a full participant on Wednesday's practice.

    Lions injuries

The Lions are looking pretty healthy, with Brian Branch, Frank Ragnow, and Christian Mahogany all listed on the initial injury report as full participants.
