CeeDee Lamb reveals what he said to Dak Prescott in viral sideline video

CeeDee Lamb had some words for Dak Prescott after the Dallas Cowboys quarterback threw an interception on Sunday night, but there was hardly anything malicious behind the message.

The Cowboys were leading 6-3 late in the second quarter of their eventual 20-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa. Prescott threw a pass toward the end zone on 2nd-and-5 that was intended for Lamb, but Donte Jackson came away with an easy interception.

During the third quarter, NBC showed a video of Lamb saying something to Prescott on the sidelines after the interception. Announcers Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth made it seem like Lamb was ripping his quarterback. You can see the video here .

People who are much better lip-readers than Collinsworth concluded that Lamb was telling Prescott to throw the star receiver “jump balls.” It turns out that was exactly what was said, as both Prescott and Lamb confirmed it on Thursday.

“Jump balls, Four. Jump balls and I got you,” Lamb said he told Prescott.

During his media availability, Prescott added “y’all can’t read lips to save y’all’s lives.”

Prescott went 29/42 for 352 yards with 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions and a lost fumble in the game. He came through in the end and delivered a winning touchdown pass to Jalen Tolbert with 20 seconds left. Lamb finished with 5 catches for 62 yards on 9 targets.

Lamb has admitted in the past that he needs to control his emotions better on the sideline , but his exchange with Prescott was nothing more than a pep talk.
