    Jefferson/Cambridge girls swim splits dual against Burlington and Platteville/Lancaster

    The Jefferson/Cambridge girls swim team beat Platteville/Lancaster 107-58 and fell to Burlington 98-72 in a Southern Lakes triple dual at JHS on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

    The EagleJays placed first in three events.

    Sophomore Grace Warborg won the 100-yard freestyle by 6.25 seconds in 1:01.27 and placed second in the 200 free (2:10.22).

    Junior Abby Ostopowicz won the 100 butterfly by 1.53 seconds in 1:12.88 and took third in the 100 backstroke in 1:16.31,

    The J/C 200 free relay team of senior Ivy Stevens, freshman Kessa Pulkrabek, senior Campbell Krause and Warborg won by 0.38 seconds in 1:55.32.

    The 200 medley relay team of Stevens, Krause, Ostopowicz and Warborg took second in 2:11.23 and the 400 free relay team of senior Grace Leto, junior Maya Warborg, freshman Clara Stevens and Ostopowicz took second in 4:38.96.

    Pulkrabek took second in the 200 IM in 2:41.88, Ivy Stevens placed second in the 100 back in 1:12.86 and finished third in the 50 free in 27.85, Leto finished third in the 100 free in 1:08.65 and Maya Warborg placed third in the 500 free in 6:23.20.

    Dual scores: Jefferson/Cambridge 107, Platteville/Lancaster 58; Burlington 98, Jefferson/Cambridge 72; Burlington 126, Platteville/Lancaster 42.
