Teen arrested in school threat

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A teen has been charged after Buffalo Police investigated a threat to a school on social media. A man was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm following a search of the home.

Police say they were notified by TikTok of a user making a school threat. That prompted an investigation, leading officers to a Mariner Homes apartment.

Police say a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order (TERPO) with a search provision was obtained. During the court authorized search, a Glock 19 was recovered.

A 15 year old is charged with making a threat with mass harm. 33 year old Yaireliz Santana Garcia has been charged with criminal pssession of a firearm,
