Bridgerton fans are patiently waiting for the show's fourth season, but now, they have a small idea of what to expect from the period drama in its next chapter.

Nicola Coughlan — AKA Lady Whistledown herself — spilled the tea while teasing season 4. Last season saw her character Penelope finally breaking out of the friend zone and marrying Colin Bridgerton with whom she welcomes a baby with. The season also finally revealed Penelope to be Lady Whistledown.

Coughlan told Good Morning America at this year's Time 100 Next Gala of the new Bridgerton family, "It's very fun to be playing like a happily married person with a very cute baby," adding, "So they get to come back and just be in love and have the best time together."

However, this next season of Bridgerton focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson) and love intereest Sophie Beak (played by Yerin Ha). Nicola explained that they are "hard at work being our leads this time" and "they're doing an amazing job."

But, that's not all — the love story of Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) left a lot to be explored with the introduction of her husband's cousin Micaela Stirling (Masali Baduza), which we may get more of a look at in coming seasons. Coughlin told GMA of the storyline, "I know as a cast, we've been really craving a queer storyline and that representation is so, so important. I just know that it's going to be done so well by Hannah and Masali. They're going to do an incredible job. Whenever their time comes, they're going to be ready, and they're going to knock it out of the park."
