For decades, Capri Sun has been a classic choice for birthday parties , school parties or just after-school sipping and snacking . The other thing that's been very consistent about the kid-friendly drink pouches? They can be a real pain to get into. The small, round straw hole requires precision, and the straw tends to bend when you do make the mark. Additionally, if you apply too much pressure, the juice can squirt out, creating a mess, or you can go straight through the pouch and puncture a hole on the other side, leading to more messes.

Capri Sun is popular because it is convenient, portable, and it appeals to kids, but if you can't open them, what's the point? That's why the information that content creator @that40yearguy (real name Dustin) shared is such a game-changer.

According to Dustin, all you have to do is remove the straw from the outside of the pouch and then squeeze the sides of the pouch, creating dips in it on either side. Then, you push down on the top, in the center, creating another dip. The straw hole should be facing upwards so you can see it easily.

Push your straw in, move the top of the pouch back into place, and you've opened a Capri Sun with no mess and no frustration!

A lot of the comments said this won't work in Europe because they have paper straws for their Capri Sun pouches, but if you have the Capri Sun with the classic yellow plastic straw, you can do this trick and enjoy an on-the-go drink with ease. We can't wait to try this!

"German here and it’s safe to say I’m jealous of the plastic straw. We got paper….. PAPER!!!!" someone said on Dustin's post. We can see how this would be frustrating!

"I thought everyone knew how to put a straw in it," another person commented. We didn't know this great trick and we're happy we do now!

"That right there is a public service announcement!" someone else added. We agree! This is just too smart to keep quiet about.
