Steph Curry already has new Splash Brother on Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors' signing of Buddy Hield this offseason has not created quite the buzz that other moves made around the league have. He is not an All-NBA-level talent like Paul George, whom they missed out on, but he could prove to be an extremely valuable member of an underrated Warriors team.

In Golden State's second preseason game , Hield came off the bench and lit up the scoreboard during his 19 minutes played. He led the team with 22 points on 8-9 shooting from the field, including 6-7 from three.

“(My shot) feels alright. Just taking it one game at a time, getting used to these guys, running around screens, getting conditioned to where I can be running around all day," said Hield .

Even though he was nearly perfect on the night, Hield still thinks he can shoot better. It is hard to be a whole lot better than he was in their win over the Kings, but next to a guy like Steph Curry, there is a high standard that has been set.

"As you play basketball you always want to be as perfect as you can. As you get older, you always want to get better and prove yourself in this league. That is the fun part, trying to prove yourself each and every day," said Hield.

Replacing Klay Thompson will not be an easy task, but Hield may be the main one who takes over his Splash Brother role. If his shots fall the way they did last night, he will undoubtedly make a solid case to be that guy.
