I just love wedding season. The pomp and circumstance of it all is sometimes just the perfect way to offshoot a Real Housewives franchise. Alexis Bellino hasn’t been back on the Real Housewives of Orange County for a hot second, and already she is engaged to her soulmate, Johnny J Janssen . First, congratulations! Second, does this mean fans will be given a Bravo wedding special? Gosh, I hope so.

John Janssen pops the big question to Alexis Bellino

After only nine short months of dating , John got down on one knee to ask Alexis to be his wife forever. Back in August, John took his fiance to San Ysidro Ranch to celebrate their anniversary and ask the all-important question. Alexis shared a photo of the two on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “On Cloud 9 celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you. Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together with our kids. And the answer is 100000000% yes.” For good measure, Alexis added, ”1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

The duo have been inundated with drama since they announced they were an item in November 2023. But Alexis has been showing that she is all about her new beau in the new season, and something about her pitbull energy is admirable. Even though Shannon Beador feels slightly slighted, this love connection might be the real deal. So why not be happy for them? And enjoy the wedding of the century.

Alexis Bellino and John Janssen want an untraditional wedding

While speaking with Bravo , Alexis revealed that her upcoming ceremony will have some “creative” elements. Personally, I love an unconventional wedding , as it adds the bride and groom’s personality to the mix. The Real Housewives of Orange County star is looking to walk down the aisle in the summer of 2025, so she has to get a jump on the planning if she wants to make her dreams come true. According to Alexis, “We’re not doing a typical wedding. We’re changing it up; we have a couple of creative ideas.”

But what could she mean? Alexis is a big dreamer , which is what makes her so much fun to watch in the series. I imagine she might think out of the box when it comes to their first dance. Maybe she and John will learn the Pasodoble and perform a fiery and sensual dance. She could also be thinking smaller, such as not throwing her boutique to the single ladies (because no one likes that). I would bet that she and John both include their children in the ceremony, which would be enough to make anyone weepy.

Alexis Bellino could be the perfect Bridezilla

Does anyone remember the Lifetime show Bridezilla? Where, each week, the camera operators would follow around a delusional bride who lost her cool over the imaginary spot on her dress? It was the best, wasn’t it? I imagine we would get quite the show if Bravo picked up a camera and followed Alexis around on her wedding chores. Currently, the duo hasn’t picked out a venue yet or made any other concrete plans, which could spell disaster for the bride, who undoubtedly has a vision. Alexis told Bravo, “I don’t know the dress style yet. I’m not wearing a wedding dress. I’m not walking down an aisle.” I can already feel the wedding planner developing a migraine. Alexis did divulge that her son, James, would give her away.

But as they say, the rest is still unwritten. Every bride starts off calm, cool, and collected, but towards the end, they all start to lose it a bit. So, here we are hoping that Bravo will choose to film Alexis and John’s big day because fans don’t want to miss a thing. Forgetting the possible three-ring circus, I do think Alexis would make a stunning bride. And I’d like to see if John wears the infamous Ferragamo shoes.
