Kansas City beat themselves and if you're watching that team for the past 15 weeks or so you know that they've gone downhill. They have moments of brilliance but then they start to suck. The big thing is that this is not the same productivity that they had back in May, June and July. As soon as they managed to tie Cleveland for the lead in the AL Central, Kansas City started to have troubles. They went on two seven game losing streaks. At one point it looked like they had improved because they had won eight games and lost only two. But that's when they went on that second seven game losing streak. The offense became bad. None of the people that were doing well and hitting good started to be able to hit. It really wasn't the pitching that cost them in the last two games. It was the lack of offense, It was too many of the players swinging for the fences and striking out. It didn't matter who they played at that point.
