The dismembered body of a woman has been discovered along with cooked body parts leading to the arrest of a woman who had been 'casting spells.'

The gruesome discovery was made at a home in Northern Kentucky by a workman called to the property.

Kentucky State Police announced Thursday that Torilena May Fields, 32, was arrested in connection with the crime. She was found covered with blood at the scene and initially refused to leave. A lengthy standoff that only ended at around 11 pm after the use of tear gas and a police robot, authorities said.

Officers were called at around 12.30 pm on Wednesday about a dead woman at the home on Brierly Ridge in Robertson County. The 911 call was made by a man who said he had been asked to do some work for the property owner. He told investigators he was at the property the day before and saw the victim and Fields.

The KSP troopers' citation read: "On [Oct. 8], [the witness] stated Torilena was casting spells on them and was being confrontational."

The following day, he knocked on the door of the home, but no one answered. He then searched the property for the owner, and he made the horrific discovery.

After noticing drag marks in the grass, he followed them and found a dismembered body behind the home, according to KSP’s citation. The arms, legs, and head were all removed from the victim’s body.

According to the citation, troopers found “multiple body parts and organs” inside of a folded mattress next to the body.

Inside the home they found what appeared to be cooked human body parts in a pot in the oven, the citation read. “The pot was still warm to the touch,” the citation reads.

The identity of the victim has not yet been revealed. Fields is being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center and faces several charges, including obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. KSP said after further investigation, additional charges may be filed.

She is scheduled to appear in court on October 14.

In another grim incident in Kentucky, an 18-year-old Kentucky man has been accused of murdering his own 74-year-old grandmother during what police are calling a family dispute. Police stated that they responded to the home of an elderly woman, later identified as Cheri Oliver, after getting reports that there was an "active assault" in progress , reported Fox affiliate WXIX .

According to a post on the Erlanger police department's Facebook page, the incident and the subsequent arrest of her grandson Wyatt Testerman, occurred around 2:01 pm on Tuesday. "Erlanger Police Officers and Officers from the Independence Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Ridgewood Drive in Erlanger for a call of an active assault," the incident report read.

"On arrival, the suspect Wyatt Testerman was located outside of the residence by a responding Independence Police Officer," the post continued. "Testerman was detained immediately and without incident." The report goes on to say that upon entering the home, officers found Oliver with severe head trauma and was rushed to the University Hospital in Cincinnati where she was pronounced dead.
