A new restaurant has opened in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, OH - A new concept has taken the place of Bistro 1907.

Are you in the mood for Italian cuisine? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out Casa di Canzonetta, which is located in Youngstown at 44 Federal Plaza E. The restaurant opened for business at the beginning of October, according to Casa di Canzonetta's social media account.

Casa di Canzonetta is a new concept from owner Mark Canzonetta. Earlier in the year, he closed his restaurant Bistro 1907 and decided to reopen it as Casa di Canzonetta, per this local news article.

In addition to a new name, the restaurant has a new look and a new menu. The menu includes appetizers like house-made focaccia, tomato bread, meatballs (which are made in-house with veal, beef, and pork), fried calamari (which is served with Calabrian chili aioli, sweet and sour agrodolce, and grilled lemon), sweet ricotta boards, and more. Furthermore, the restaurant has soups like pasta fagioli, Italian onion soup (which is made with a 24-hour beef bone broth, caramelized onions, focaccia crouton, and fontina gratin), and Italian wedding soup.

Casa di Canzonetta also has pasta dishes like spaghetti cacio e pepe, sweet ricotta ravioli, cheese tortellini tomato basil cream, chicken parmesan with rigatoni alla vodka, and more. In addition, customers can get dishes like jumbo garlic scampi, sweet & spicy bone-in pork chops, bone-in veal chops, and more.

If you have room for something sweet, the restaurant has options like strawberry cassata cake, tiramisu, and cannoli.

Starting next month, the restaurant will offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM. The brunch menu will include items like lemon ricotta pancakes, smoked salmon lox crostini, Delmonico steak & eggs, Nonna's Italian frittata, and more.

Our experience from start to finish was incredible. Walking in the smell is amazing. Our server was delightful and knowledgeable. We had the ricotta board greens and beans along with focaccia bread appetizer to share. The four of us also shared wood fire shrimp(this was a crowd favorite), salmon, ravioli and pasta aglio olio de pepe. All the dishes we fabulous and we were happy to share. Cocktails were creative and yummy. Desert was tiramisu and canolli. Perfect celebration meal
