    5 restaurants and 1 food truck in Central Florida shut down last week

    Five restaurants and one food truck in Central Florida shut down following health inspections the week of Sept. 29 – Oct. 5, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

    Orange

    Antojitos Chapin at 454 W. Main St. Vin #6308 in Apopka initially shut down on Sept. 27 with nine violations. On Sept. 30, officials issued an emergency callback time extension on the food truck. They found one violation, but it wasn’t a high priority. The truck requires a follow-up inspection but has since reopened.

    Seminole

    Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. at 2401 W. S.R. 434 Suit #117 in Longwood shut down on Sept. 30. Inspectors found eight violations, two of which were a high priority for roach activity and food held at the wrong temperatures. A second inspection the same day found only one violation. On Oct. 1, a third and final inspection took place. There were six violations but none was a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.

    Zippoz Pizza at 3950 S. U.S. Highway 17-92 Unit 1024 in Casselberry shut down on Oct. 3. Inspectors found four violations, one of which was a high priority for roach activity. A second inspection the same day found only one violation. It wasn’t a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.

    Le’s Pho at 5040 W. S.R. 46 Suite 1114 in Sanford shut down on Oct. 3. Inspectors found 17 violations, two of which were a high priority for roach activity and food held at the wrong temperatures. A second inspection took place on Oct. 4. Inspectors found five violations but none was a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.

    Volusia

    Dunkin’ Donuts at 499 Howland Blvd. in Deltona shut down on Sept. 30. Inspectors found nine violations, one of which was a high priority for an employee not changing single-use gloves between tasks. A second inspection took place on Oct. 1. There were no violations. The restaurant complied with the emergency order.

    Constantine’s Pizzeria Inc. at 2032 S. Ridgewood Ave. Suite 1 & 2 in South Daytona shut down on Oct. 1. Inspectors found 18 violations, four of which were a high priority. Those violations included an employee working without washing their hands first, rodent activity, a stop sale on food due to temperature abuse and food held at the wrong temperatures. A second inspection took place on Oct. 2. Inspectors found 12 violations, none of which was a high priority. The restaurant requires a follow-up inspection but has since reopened.

    Complaints and warnings

    Orange County had the top spot for most warnings and other complaints in Central Florida with 39.

    Brevard had 21, Volusia had 17, Seminole had 15, Lake had eight and Osceola had zero.
