Umm. That’s what the Hart Miller complex was created for. To contain dredge material from various sites in the Harbor and Bay. It has proven safe for almost 4 decades. Hundreds of people visit the open portion of the island every week. More hundreds swim in the adjacent waters. The greenies have killed another good idea that would have benefited the community, not harmed it. Perhaps that money could have replaced the failing septic systems that are causing the real pollution.
