One of the officers fired a weapon in an attempt to stop the attack, fatally hitting at least one dog.A number of dogs had expired licenses and police said they were being kept "in violation of city ordenances."Police were seen at the home for hours investigating.Mohawk Hudson Humane Society also arrived on scene around 8 p.m. Several crates carrying dogs were seen getting loaded up into their van.According to police, all of the dogs are accounted for, and are in the process of getting placed in an appropriate facility.CBS 6 has contacted Albany Police for more details about the attack, including the number of dogs in the home, the man's purpose there, and whether the owner will be charged.
