Teen Brothers Arrested for Homicide Following Fatal Shooting in Escambia County

On October 2, 2024, deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance involving gunfire in the 3300 block of Fairfield Drive. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a male victim in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation revealed that the suspects, brothers Andres Eugene Harlee (16) and Anthony Eugene Harlee Jr. (18), had followed the victim to his residence after a minor car accident involving the victim. The Harlee brothers parked their white Jeep SUV in front of the victim’s driveway. A confrontation ensued, resulting in the brothers firing multiple rounds at the victim. They fled the scene in the same vehicle.

After the incident, the brothers attempted to conceal evidence by burning the clothes they wore during the shooting and trying to destroy gun magazines. Investigators later located both suspects at their home on the 5600 block of Michael Drive in Santa Rosa County.

Andres and Anthony Harlee Jr. were arrested and charged with homicide and tampering with evidence.
