EVs are not sustainable. And their cumulative pollution - including the fossil fuels burned in electricity plants, added to the damage done mining lithium - makes EVs even more polluting than gasoline vehicles.

There are some impressive Taycans on the used market for a fraction of MSRP, however I wouldn’t buy one because I think their depreciation is only midway through the cycle. A Sport Tourismo wagon, stunningly beautiful, with an MSRP of $225k is now available in the $80k range with ultra low miles. Is that the bottom of the curve though? Not even close.
