It's a program that will likely go national. Make choices to reduce, bank them, sell them. Your business needs to spew more... gonna cost you to buy banked credits. Cost based on supply and demand and amount the cap is. Whine all you want, it's happening.

The cap-and-trade program does not eliminate pollution. It makes the polluters pay, which is ultimately passed on to consumers. No one wants more pollution but CO2 is a mere .04% of our atmosphere and it is actually good for all us carbon-based lifeforms on earth (plants love it, hence the term "greenhouse gas".) The money raised is going to Inslee's pet "green energy" projects like those electric ferries which cost more and more and never get built. It's a backhanded money grab tax by those in government who prefer we don't drive or go anywhere to help the environment, humans be damned.
