Man Rescues Stray Kitten Covered in Ants During Daily Walk

TikTok is heartbroken over a helpless stray kitten who was covered in ants until a man rescued him. The video, which has garnered attention on social media, shows the poor feline sitting in the corner defencelessly. However, a Good Samaritan came to the little one’s rescue .

TikTok user Julius Maximus explained stumbling upon an abandoned cat on the side of the road during their daily lunch-hour walk. As the clip shows, the little stray kitten, who sat rolled up in a corner, had been suffering from ant infestation. The TikToker recalled, “He was covered with ants and they were all over his face.”

Maximus noted how the cat did not even try to fight the ants. The TikToker added, “I don’t know for how long he had been there for.” The TikToker then called a co-worker for help, who picked the kitten up and rescued him. The lady bathed the feline and fed him before taking him to the animal shelter.

Maximus shared that the kitten was taken to the OC Animal Care in Tustin, California, where he was going to get his shots and further treatment. “Let’s wish this little guy hopefully finds a loving home,” The Good Samaritan added. “May you always be taken care of, loved, and protected.”

After the rescue clip garnered attention on the platform, the TikToker posted an update on the stray kitten. Maximus shared that the cat, Trick, got renamed by the shelter after the TikToker named him Tux. He also shared that Trick has been healed from infection and was cleared for adoption after getting registered. Moreover, the TikToker ended up checking the website on Saturday and found out the kitten was no longer listed. Maximus then called the shelter and learned that Trick had been adopted.

Meanwhile, the man continued to get praised on social media for saving the stray kitten.
