Man pummels, robs woman at Bronx subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday released a photo of a man accused of violently robbing a woman at a Bronx subway station over the weekend.

It happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, when a 27-year-old woman was at the Castle Hill Avenue subway station on the 6 train.

According to officials, the suspect took her cell phone and punched her in the face multiple times before fleeing to parts unknown.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is believed to be approximately in his 30s.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
