‘He Got His Ass Kicked’: Doug Emhoff Flames Trump For Avoiding Second Debate With Harris

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff said former President Donald Trump does not want to debate Kamala Harris again because “he got his ass kicked” the last time.

During a sneak peek of an interview between Emhoff and Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough set to air on Monday, the MSNBC anchor asked his guest why Trump was refusing to debate his wife again before the November election day.

Recently, the Trump campaign has declined invitations from CNN and Fox News to debate Harris for a second time in late October. The Harris camp has accused the former president of only doing interviews and events with friendly media.

Emhoff noted that Trump is relying on “misinformation and disinformation” to gaslight the American public into thinking he won the last ABC News debate back in September.

SCARBOROUGH: You talked about the debate. Why do you think Donald Trump won’t debate her again?

EMHOFF: Well, you saw the first debate, didn’t you?

SCARBOROUGH: Yeah, yeah.

EMHOFF: Yeah. That’s why. He got his ass kicked. And so he’s afraid that that’s going to happen again. Rather he’s spreading this fog, this fog of misinformation and disinformation and gaslighting rather than face her again.
