Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are off to a rough start in their 2024 NFL campaign.

The Jets are 2-3 to start the year, and Rodgers has so far failed to meet the preseason expectations set in front of him.

This past Sunday, the Jets traveled to London for a matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers finished the game with three interceptions as New York suffered a 23-17 loss.

During Friday morning's episode of Get Up on ESPN, NFL analyst Ryan Clark took aim at Rodgers with a blunt assessment of his 2024 play.

Clark called Rodgers a "catfish" posing as an all-time great quarterback.

The former NFL defensive back compared Rodgers' performance with the Jets against Peyton Manning's stint with the Denver Broncos and Tom Brady's stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — both of which resulted in Super Bowl titles.

"Everybody thought they knew who Aaron Rodgers is. The Aaron Rodgers that we knew is in a fantasy land and a figment of our imagination," Clark said. "The Aaron Rodgers that we mention in the names of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning was a catfish."

Clark continued to go after Rodgers, claiming he failed to capitalize on what could've been an all-time great career.

"Aaron Rodgers has every physical tool to have been the greatest quarterback to have played this game," Clark said. "There is something he is missing in his intangible DNA that makes him devoid of great leadership, makes him devoid of being able to elevate locker rooms. I think that's what we're seeing in New York."
