Some dogs come along, and you just know you were meant to be together. You can't explain it, but they become your soul dog—a pup you've bonded to on a deep, spiritual level, making your connection vastly different than any other. And if you have a soul dog, you'll love this story of one man who recently adopted a sweet Doberman named June, just one month after losing his previous soul dog Halo, and it's the most beautiful relationship.

One look at June, and her foster dad fell head over heels. It was immediately clear that Halo sent June to take care of her favorite human, so he and his wife adopted her. Watch their story unfold (and grab the tissues)!

Thanks to @thecaldwelldogs for sharing such an amazing story. Foster fails—when you aim to foster but end up adopting instead—are the best part of any fostering story. We love to see it. But this one in particular pulls at the heartstrings. With Halo's recent passing, June's presence in this family's life seems to be heaven-sent, and it's putting the internet in their feelings, big time.

"The coincidence of the foster named 'June' wherein Halo left in May!" one person pointed out.

"Y’all are the absolute worst fosters, and I love it," another wrote.

"I’m literally crying. Oh my goodness, I (we) were all hoping she’d stay with you. Halo most definitely sent her," another commented. "I’m so excited for ALL of you! You’re such fantastic people doing HEART work with these digs! This has made my day! Happy Homecoming June and Halo!"

June, you are so special. Here's to living the life you deserve with your forever family!

    Why Fostering Saves Lives

There are a million reasons to foster an animal in need, even if you can't commit to adoption. When you foster a pet , you save more than one life by taking one fur baby in and giving the shelter space for another soul in need. It's a win-win.

Not only that, but when it comes to pets who get stressed out from the noises and overcrowding in a shelter, you can temporarily relieve them of that while also contributing invaluable information for the shelter to help them get adopted. Their temperament, social skills, and behavior issues can be better assessed outside of an anxiety-ridden shelter. Outside of there, animals come alive and begin to show their true selves.

Fostering also increases chances of their adoption because you can help train them things they might not otherwise know. Sure, it's rewarding, but think of the impact you're making on that pet's life, and those the shelter can take in because you opened a spot.

That said, we're so glad June was a foster fail. There's no better place for her to be and we're "pawsitive" her dad agrees!
