The biggest reason it floods the way it does is because so many people have moved to Central Florida and have built over a ton of the marsh/open land, so the water has no where to go anymore. I've lived here for 45 years and my father for 73 years and it has been so over built there is just no where for the water to go. unfortunately this is going to be the same problem for my neighborhood forever. I feel for my neighbors.
