The Minnesota Vikings went across the pond last weekend to play in the London Games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Justin Jefferson had a solid game and the New York Jets wound up losers as Kevin O’Connell’s team improved to 5-0. That doesn’t mean everything was great for the standout wide receiver during his time in Europe.

Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson can leave some things in England

It’s great that the Minnesota Vikings improved to 5-0 and remain undefeated . It’s great that Justin Jefferson turned in a solid performance and helped to secure the victory. It’s probably not great that he tried marmite and doesn’t ever need to do that again.

“Ok, PBJ! What is this? Marmite. [Have you heard of Marmite?] Nun-uh. This one, is it like grape jelly? [A bit different. You’ll love it or you’ll hate it. That’s what everyone in England says… You might hate it.] Yeah, I think so too. I low-key want to try it though. Here we go man. [What does it smell like to you?] Something you don’t put on bread. It smells like uh, a form of teriyaki-ish. That’s what it smells like. But like a stinky teriyaki. I’m gonna try this, man. Ahh! Ahh! No! American. American. No! No! No! That was terrible! Wow! No thanks. You can go ahead and take this one back. So people actually eat that?”

It’s beyond clear that Jefferson was note a fan of the marmite, and had questions for the host prior to biting in. Marmite is described as a dark brown, sticky, and salty yeast extract spread said to be popular in the United Kingdom. I think this is one snack that the Vikings wide receiver would prefer stay way away from the locker room.

Despite consuming the putrid concoction, Minnesota’s star wideout hauled in six of his 14 targets for 92 yards . The hands were a bit questionable at times on Sunday, but his stomach may still have been in knots from the thought of the unpleasant snack.
