WHARTON COUNTY, Texas - A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper confiscated 8 kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop in Wharton County. The driver was arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. With assistance from the Wharton County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, the drugs were discovered and prevented from reaching the community, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety - Southeast Texas Region. The driver was subsequently booked into the Wharton County Jail.
