CLEMSON – Clemson wide receiver T.J. Moore spoke to the media earlier this week, as he spoke about his performance to this point in the season and how his family was impacted by Hurricane Helene.

–Moore, who is from the Tampa, Fla., area was immediately asked about the impact Hurricane Helene had on his family and the overarching help they got from the Clemson Family. “Our neighbor across the street was sending us videos and pictures of how much it was flooding and then our landlord went over and showed us there was water up to the couch… but it means a lot seeing how the whole Clemson Community came together to help my family. It showed me it was more than football at this point and that everybody around here is family.”

–Moore on scoring a touchdown back in his home state of Florida. “It didn’t really mean a lot to me, but for my mom it meant a lot. It was special for her seeing me score in Florida especially after what they just went through.”

–When asked about the touchdown that looked flawless to the fans, Moore explained how he lined up incorrectly, but still managed to get in the end zone. “It was a screen route, and I really would not have scored if it wasn’t for Mafah getting that block… I actually lined up a little too far from I was supposed to be, but Mafah still got to the block and that created the lane for me to score.”

So far this year, Moore has 8 catches for 144 yards and 2 TDs.
