Friends of the Palm Springs Library to have an Art,Architecture + Design Book Sale During Modernism Weekend

For the second year the Friends of the Palm Springs Library (Friends) will be having a special Art, Architecture + Design Book Sale on Saturday October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. inside the lobby area at the main library during Modernism Weekend.

Gently used, vintage, international, and some one-of-a-kind art, architecture and interior design books will be available for purchase. Many copies are autographed or are limited editions, this is a not-to-be-missed event for the modernist aficionado!

“Last year this event was a big hit and so we decided to do it again and add Art books to the mix, it’s great fun and a wonderful addition to the Modernism weekend schedule,” said Nanci Morrison, President of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library, “it gives fans of art, architecture and design an opportunity to add to their own personal libraries and buy books that they may not have access to, at a great price, so everybody wins!”

The Friends of the Palm Springs Library raise funds for the library through daily and annual book sales, special events, planned giving, annual dues, and grants. Their mission is to support the Library in providing world-class service to the community through purchasing needed supplies, materials, furniture, and equipment for the library, and by advocating for funding, gifts, and memorials. The Friends also raise awareness about the library and support programs that encourage reading, culture, and the arts, through opportunities such as Palm Springs Speaks, as well as volunteer-based activities to support our greater community.
