Actress Theresa Randle, who portrayed Martin Lawrence’s wife in three “Bad Boys” films, was taken into custody in Los Angeles earlier this week on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, but was not charged, it was reported Friday.

Randle was detained by police on Monday over an alleged incident that happened on Saturday at a residence in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in downtown L.A., said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller.

Miller said the alleged victim called 911 on Saturday to report being “struck” by Randle, who was not there when officers arrived. On Monday, the alleged victim notified police that Randle had returned to the residence, and officers arrested her, and she was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Miller said. Other details were not released.

Randle, 59, was detained at 4:30 p.m. Monday and booked later that day, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department inmate information website.

According to the sheriff’s department, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office decided to “reject” prosecution of the case, which was classified as “DA reject per 849.5PC (penal code) a detention only.”

Law enforcement sources told TMZ.com that when Randle went to court on Wednesday, the District Attorney’s office rejected the case.

Randle also starred in “Beverly Hills Cop III” and “Space Jam.”
