Cleveland Guardians Make A Major Change To Their Start Time For Game 5 Of The ALDS

The Cleveland Guardians pulled off a major Game Four win in the ALDS against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night, and now the series will head back to Cleveland for a winner-take-all Game Five.

The game was supposed to s tart at 8:08 PM ET on Saturday night, but the start time has changed significantly.

The Guardians put out a statement Friday afternoon: " Due to impending weather, in coordination with Major League Baseball, tomorrow's first pitch has been moved to 1:08 PM ET. "

The Tigers will be throwing out the future A.L. CY Young Award winner, Tarik Skubal, who held the Guardains scoreless in Game Two. Cleveland has yet to name a starter, but it sounds like it will be Matthew Boyd, who also pitched in Game Two and held Detroit scoreless.

Cleveland fans won't have to worry about the Guardians game clashing with the Ohio State vs. Oregon football game, which is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM ET.

Many Guardian fans also love Ohio State, so they would have to choose which game to watch if they didn't have two screens available.

The Tigers vs. Guardians game-winner will face the New York Yankees in the ALCS after they defeated Kansas City in four games on Thursday night.

Cleveland will be rocking on Saturday afternoon, and hopefully, the Guardians will pull off the win and head to their first ALCS since 2016, when they went to the World Series.
