Graham Coxon, guitarist of Blur, has weighed in on the Oasis reunion, and apparently, he’s thrilled. Speaking to The Sun recently, he shared that he supports Blur’s famous rivals in their comeback, and hopes it’s a genuine reunion.

“It’s good for them and it’s good for fans,” he told the U.K. outlet. “I’ve been saying, ‘Just do it.’” Coxon also shared his hopes for the brothers and their newly buried hatchet. While playing the same festival this summer, Coxon’s band with his wife, The Waeve, crossed paths with Noel Gallagher and his band. However, Coxon made it clear that he didn’t have any influence on the Gallaghers’ choice to reunite.

When asked if he spoke to Noel about it, Coxon said, “God no, I wouldn’t have talked to him about that and it’s not really my business. I don’t know him well enough to say that.” Then, he added, “But hopefully it’s a genuine reunion because some bands break up and don’t get that chance again.”

Blur, meanwhile, are on hiatus following the success of their recent album, The Ballad of Darren. Graham Coxon also shared that his band needs a “shared experience” to be able to reunite.

“Each time we get together, there needs to be a shared experience like making a record, otherwise there’s no point in doing it for us,” he said. “That involves a hell of a lot more work and stress though!”

Oasis Won’t Be Doing Interviews Together for Fear of Intrusive Questions

Recently, Liam Gallagher revealed that he and his brother Noel won’t be doing joint interviews about the Oasis reunion, despite the news causing a worldwide stir. According to Liam, there’s a fear of intrusive questions.

On social media, Liam was answering questions in his usual fashion, when one person joked about them not doing interviews. “We don’t want to do interviews coz we’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship,” Liam replied. After so long being at odds with each other, it’s easy to see why they wouldn’t want interviewers prying into the feud and their personal lives.

When one fan asked if Liam was “not gonna tweet s–t about Noel anymore now you’ve made up,” Liam responded, with his usual attitude, “Nope it’s all done peace has prevailed he’s the man I can’t wait to be on stage with him blowing him kisses in between each song.”
