The world of college football moves fast. Week 7 is set to provide some elite contests between some very notable brands. This weekend, Oklahoma and Texas will square off in the same time slot as Penn State taking on USC. Following that, Ohio State and Oregon will battle things out in Eugene, marking a double-header of some very powerful programs taking each other on.

That doesn't stop this week, though, as Texas hosts the Georgia Bulldogs next week in what will, more than likely, be a top-five matchup. This week, as mentioned, Texas is taking on Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. As the top-ranked team and a much more experienced squad, they should be able to come away victorious.

The Bulldogs, on the other hand, take on Mississippi State. Georgia will have a much easier battle leading up to their contest in Austin.

Should both teams come away with a victory, it's hard to imagine the spotlight isn't in Texas during Week 8.

The opening odds for the marquee matchup have been revealed, as Texas is a 2.5-point favorite in the contest before this weekend's games are played. Of course, that line could certainly move with an unexpected result in Week 7.

Naturally, fans are going to have their reservations when learning of the odds when the two program's still have a game to play. Especially for a contest between two of the best programs in the nation. This game could have real SEC implications later down the road.
