Kayla Nicole's Famous Ex Identified as Former NBA Champ After 'Crazy' Admission

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are arguably the most famous couple in the word. Before the 35-year-old All-Pro even met Swift, however, he was in a long term relationship with Kayla Nicole.

Kelce and Nicole dated on and off five years before they officially split in 2022. After years of silence, Nicole spoke out about her breakup with Kelce , and what life's been like since he started dating the international pop star.

During Nicole's appearance on Angel Reese's podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," the fitness influencer revealed that this wasn't the first time an ex went on to date famous singer, which immediately raised some eyebrows.

While Nicole didn't reveal her ex's name, she shared a "crazy" story from over a decade ago in which she admitted to dressing up as his new girlfriend for Halloween after they split.

After the story went viral, fans figured out that Nicole dated former NBA star Iman Shumpert, who won a championship title with Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

“I [had] just moved to New York to, like, be with this person and move in with them,” Nicole told Reese. “It was a whole thing."

Shumpert, drafted by the Knicks as the No. 17 overall pick in 2011, was  in New York during the time of the Tribe Therepe founder's story. Nicole revealed she was dumped via text message "for this singer/actress who was famous at the time."

“[He] lied about it for months then popped out with her. It became this public thing, like, ‘Oh, my God, we love them.'” While the "iconic celebrity couple" left her "heartbroken," Nicole dressed up as Shumpert's new girlfriend for Halloween. Shumpert married Taylor in 2015 but the couple announced their split in 2023. They continue to co-parent their two daughters, Junie and Rue. Before separating, the family's life was featured on VH1's "Teyana and Iman" and E!'s "We Got Love Teyana & Iman."
