Register for Wood Village’s 5th annual Turkey Drive

Seeking a hookup for a tasty meal this Thanksgiving? In Wood Village all it takes is filling out a form online.

The 5th annual Turkey Drive will open for registration at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14. The form can be found online at woodvillageor.gov/turkey-drive-2024 (it won’t be there until Monday morning). Pickup of the meal, which in the past has included turkeys, pies and other sides, will happen Friday, Nov. 22.

While anyone can apply, Wood Village residents get priority. If you live outside city limits, you will be placed on a waitlist. Registration is limited to one meal per address and will remain open until full. The city will contact you to confirm the registration after the application period has closed.

This tradition began in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to address food insecurity. Because that need has continued, with many families struggling to balance bills and groceries, the tradition program has continued.
