General Hospital: Dante Messy Love Life Threatens Sam Survival!

General Hospital (GH) teases that Dante has been by Lulu's side while she was unconscious.

As General Hospital heats up, tensions are running high for Dante, whose heart is torn between his comatose ex-wife Lulu, and his current love, Sam.

With Lulu’s condition worsening and a donor nowhere in sight, Dante’s guilt over his past choices threatens to tear apart the life he’s built with Sam.

Lulu's Liver or Sam’s Love?

But as desperation mounts, will Dante push away the one person he needs most just before it’s too late?

Lulu was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and returned to General Hospital. Dante and Lulu were happily married for several years and had a kid named Rocco.

They divorced after Dante went underground and was exposed to extensive indoctrination.

Dante sought his divorce after willingly agreeing to go to the WSB treatment center for deprogramming.

He didn't want Lulu to have to wait for him indefinitely since he didn't think he'd be himself again.

Lulu ultimately consented to sign the paperwork, and Dante returned not long after, making it apparent that he wanted her back.

Lulu became unconscious as a result of an explosion at the Floating Rib. Dante was distraught when it became evident that Lulu would never wake up.

Eventually, Dante and Sam fell in love. They finally moved in together, blending their families.

For the most part, Sam and Dante have gotten along great.

Coma vs. Chaos

Sam wishes Dante wasn't a cop, but she's come to understand the dangers that come with being connected with a police officer.

Sam has been an understanding companion since Lulu returned to the hospital, while Dante spends time by Lulu's bedside, pushing her to stay until a donor for a liver transplant can be located.

But now that Lucky can't be Lulu's donor, expect Dante to grow increasingly unstable.

Sam will undoubtedly try to console Dante as Lulu begins to fade away, but Dante may not want to hear it.

He may strike out at Sam and shove her away, angry that he can't save Lulu on his own.

This would undoubtedly be awful, given the rumors that Sam may die shortly. Dante will be unable to forgive himself if Sam dies after an altercation.
