As they enter what will most likely be their final season with the rights to the NBA, TNT is going big.

TNT announced this week that they have hired the retired eight-time All-Star Vince Carter as part of their regular TV crew next season. Carter will be serving as a studio analyst for the network and is set to feature on “NBA on TNT Tuesday” next to Shaquille O’Neal, Adam Lefkoe, and Candace Parker.

The 47-year-old Carter, who played a record 22 seasons in the NBA, retired as a player in 2020. Since then, he has gone into sports media work, serving as an analyst for ESPN from 2020-23 before being laid off. Carter then got a gig last season with a smaller television network .

Now the Hall of Famer Carter will return to the national TV stage with TNT. O’Neal, Lefkoe, and Parker have been the three staples of the Tuesday crew over these last several years with the fourth chair previously being occupied by the likes of Dwyane Wade (who left TNT in 2022) and Jamal Crawford ( who also announced over the summer that he was no longer with TNT ).
