    Mother Dough Bakery will open third location in Mill District this month

    A new Mother Dough Bakery is set to open.

    The Parisian bakery and café founded by chef and restaurateur David Fhima will open its third location in the Mill District of Minneapolis on Monday, Oct. 21.

    Located on the street level of The Vicinity apartment building at 205 Park Ave., the shop will offer bread and pastries made in-house, as well as grab-and-go lunch options like sandwiches, soups, and salads. For those dining in, it'll also serve beer and wine.

    "Living and working in the Mill District, I can personally say this bakery will serve the neighborhood well," says Ben Kepple, Director of Commercial Operations for Sherman Associates, which operates Vicinity Apartments.

    In addition to two other Mother Dough locations, Fhima is the founder and executive chef of Fhima's Minneapolis, Artisans and Spice Catering, and Maison Margaux. He's also the executive chef for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx .

    Fhima says he and Sherman Associates hope to "build back the Minneapolis downtown community better than ever."

    When it opens, Mother Dough in the Mill District will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and will stay open two hours later on Friday and Saturday.
