Texas and Oklahoma Governors trash-talk each other and make a bet before Red River Rivalry

The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns have the biggest rivalry in all of college football . If you don't agree, well, you're wrong, I don't know what else to tell you. All jokes aside, it is one of the best rivalries ever in any sport.

You have the neutral location, which a lot of fans actually don't like -- they would rather have a home and away than a neutral site game. But, that's a different conversation for a different day.

The fact that there is an actual state fair in the background, and the fans are evenly split 50/50 at the 50-yard line, where the opposing fans can scream at you when you're backed up in your own endzone, is crazy too.

And, let's just add that these two teams are always playing one another close. Let's not talk about the 49-0 game -- that never happened. But like last year for example, when Texas was the better team throughout the whole season, Oklahoma walked it off with a touchdown to Nic Anderson.

And, they controlled the game the entire game. Texas didn't lead until the field goal with a minute or so left.

And lastly, you have two neighboring states playing one another where two of the biggest brands in college football history are playing each other. And the Government officials are trash-talking each other, too.

This time, it was Texas Governor Greg Abbott calling out Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitts for a bet over some BBQ and Beer. Of course, Stitt replied as well with some trash talk about how they beat Texas last season.

That's just one of the many reasons this rivalry is so special. Everyone in both states or from both states hates each other. It's called hate week for a reason, you know.
