There was a bit of cause for concern on Friday night after Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was forced to exit their preseason game against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry left the contest in the second quarter and was unable to return due to an injury to his shooting hand. The former back-to-back MVP went to the locker room with Warriors director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini and was not on the bench once the second half started.

As it turns out, Curry had to undergo X-rays to determine the extent of the injury, which was later determined to be a jammed right finger. Thankfully, it wasn't anything serious.

Dubs head coach Steve Kerr revealed after the game that everything was fine and that the decision to have Curry sit out the remainder of the game was merely precautionary.

“I was assured at halftime that it was fine," Kerr told reporters. "X-Rays were negative. It wasn’t anything too concerning. But yeah, you always get nervous when he's hurt.”

According to multiple reports, Curry is now considered day-to-day , which means that he could be available to play when the Warriors return to action on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.

The Dubs still managed to secure a 109-106 win against the Kings despite Curry's early exit. Moses Moody led the way with 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting to lead Golden State to their third win in three preseason games.

For his part, Curry finished with six points, three rebounds, four assists, a block and one triple in 16 minutes of action.
