Vanessa Bryant Issues Serious Kobe Bryant Reminder To Dodgers After NLDS Win

Vanessa Bryant recently shared an inspiring message on social media that reminded the Los Angeles Dodgers of her late husband Kobe Bryant’s famous “Mamba Mentality.”

This post came right after the Dodgers secured a crucial win over the San Diego Padres in Game 5 of the National League Division Series.

On Instagram, Vanessa shared a selfie from the game, as well as what seems to be a TV screen taken from the Dodgers Stadium that shows Kobe's iconic quote , "Job’s not finished." By the looks of it, Vanessa double down on the mentality as LA moves on to the National League Championship Series (NLCS).

This phrase, which reflects Kobe's focus and determination, originated after Game 2 of the 2009 NBA Finals when a reporter asked him why he didn’t seem happy despite the Los Angeles Lakers leading the series 2-0. Kobe replied, "What's there to be happy about? Job's not finished."

This statement has since become synonymous with hard work and the refusal to settle for anything less than the championship.

Bryant himself was frequently seen at Dodgers games, often wearing their jerseys to demonstrate his love for the team. He also had a close friendship with Magic Johnson, who is part of the Dodgers' ownership group, further strengthening the bond between the two iconic Los Angeles sports entities.

The Dodgers are set to face the New York Mets in the NLCS starting Sunday.

Vanessa is constantly paying tribute to her late husband. Most recently, she unveiled a custom LA28 emblem that celebrates the basketball legend's legacy. The symbol, designed for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is part of an ongoing campaign to capture the spirit of Angelenos, athletes, artists, and activists.
