The Oregon Ducks will be hosting the biggest game ever played inside Autzen Stadium on Saturday, with the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes coming to town.

Unfortunately, it appears that the Ducks may be without one of their best players on the roster, with star defensive end Jordan Burch officially "uncertain" to play in the game after suffering a lower-body injury in practice earlier this week.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Burch suffered a non-contact lower-body injury while going through a drill on Thursday, leading up to this game.

Burch has been one of the stars of the Ducks' defense this year, with a career-high 5.0 sacks in the first five games to go along with seven tackles, four tackles for loss, and four passes deflected.

Burch transferred to Oregon in 2023 from South Carolina as a former 5-star player who was looking for a boost in his football career. He had a solid year with the Ducks but subverted expectations. With a decision to make between going to the NFL or coming back for a year, Burch opted to return to Eugene, and his decision paid off early in the season with his red-hot start.

Now, it's unclear when he will return to the field for Oregon. It's still a possibility that he plays vs. Ohio State, but the outlook doesn't look positive, per Thamel.

The Buckeyes are listed as early -3.5 favorites over the Ducks on the road in what is being considered one of the biggest regular-season games of the year. This is the first time that Oregon and Ohio State will play each other as members of the Big Ten Conference, and the winner will be set up with an inside track to make it to the conference championship game, with a likely spot in the College Football Playoff.
