An unexpected verbal altercation between co-hosts Sam Mitchell and Chris Miles added a strange twist to an NBA TV segment Friday night, where Mitchell seemingly revealed Miles’ address after threatening to earlier in the show.

The incident stemmed from a discussion about Warriors stars Draymond Green and Stephen Curry, along with longtime coach Steve Kerr, after a shot was shown of them with Curry wearing his gold medal from the Paris Olympics.

Yet, while Curry has one from over the summer, Mitchell — a retired NBA player who coached the Raptors from 2004-08 and served as the Timberwolves’ interim head coach in 2015-16 — brought up that Kerr does not, as coaches don’t receive Olympic medals across all sports.

“The coaches don’t get medals, he said. “I guess it just tells you what international — how they value coaches. Not at all.”

“I’m surprised coaches get a paycheck for this show,” Miles responded, in an effort to keep the mood light. “I think like, maybe you should do this pro bono, my friend.”

Sydney Sweeney told everyone how she really felt about Oregon mascot’s flirty request

“You know, last time I looked at my check, it’s pretty close,” Mitchell replied. “So hey, I’m taking donations.”

Mitchell began to seem uncomfortable, and he quickly turned his attention to Miles.

“Why don’t you come up off some of that money you got? Since you’re over there bragging about it,” he said.

“I’m not bragging about it,” Miles responded while laughing.

“No, we don’t have snitches,” Mitchell said. “We have truth-tellers. You’re the one who’s crying poor and destitute up here — do I need to keep going, or do you want me to stop right now?”

“How about we go to this game between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors?” Miles tried again.

“I done told you, young fella, you gotta stop messing with me on national TV,” Mitchell said. “I done told you about that. Hey, do I need to give out the address? ‘Cause you’re not at home right now.”

While Mitchell didn’t reveal Miles’ address immediately on the air, he reportedly did say it later in the middle of the game on the broadcast, which caused further back-and-forth jabs in the uncomfortable, bizarre moment.
