According to a new report by NC Business, an auto company in NC is closing its doors and 59 workers will be laid off. According to the report, A.I.M. Recon, located in Granville County, will officially close its doors permanently on Friday, October 18.

The company "reconditioned used vehicles and then sold them to auto dealers for resale", according to the report. The company was formed in July 2023 and is located in Oxford.

The company released a statement saying, "This closure is a result of our ongoing financial challenges that have made it impossible for us to meet our obligations and repay our debts". 25 workers were laid off on October 4 and the remaining 34 will be laid off on October 18.
