'Wake up!' Jasmine Crockett reveals surprising view she shares with Trump

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett agrees with former President Donald Trump that American cities and towns are being overrun by gangs — and that it needs to stop.

Crockett, a vocal Trump critic whose propensity toward alliteration saw her dub him a "vindictive vile villain," appeared on MSNBC Saturday morning to share an opinion she shares with the Republican Presidential nominee.

"He said we've got the cities and towns being overrun by gangs — I absolutely agree," Crockett said. "Guess what? It is the MAGA gang.... It's some white supremacists on the other side and he has yet to call them out."

Crockett doubled down on her criticism of Trump and the swing state voters she argued will only harm themselves should they elect him president on Nov. 5.

The segment opened with a clip of a Trump interviewer bursting out laughing at the former president's assertion that he was a fundamentally honest person — a reaction Crockett wants to see more of, she said.

Crockett noted Trump's recent claim to the Detroit Economic Club that the whole nation would become a replica of the Michigan city should Vice President Kamala Harris win the White House in 2025.

"Wake up," Crockett said. "He does not like you. Make sure you go out and show him who you are by showing up for the Walz-Harris ticket."

Crockett directed her wish that America "will soon be done with him" at a specific group of voters she argued had the power to elect Harris over Trump.

"Young people are the most movable we have," Crockett said. "They are the easiest to move because they absolutely want to see action on climate change, they want movement as it relates to guns in this country, they want to make sure the reproductive access is preserved and, to be perfectly honest, this is a group of folk that want to have relief as it relates to the educational burden that they are enduring now with student loans."
