American Pickers star Frank Fritz's cause of death has been revealed.

Frank died at the age of 60, two years after having a stroke and being hospitalized . His friend and co-star, Mike Wolfe, confirmed Frank's death to their fans on Instagram with a long heartfelt post and picture of the two.

The death certificate showed that his cause of death was "late sequela of cerebral infarction," in other words, a stroke. Cerebral vascular disease, a disorder that affects blood flow and blood arteries in the brain, was the cause of the stroke.

According to the certificate, obtained by TMZ , Frank also had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and aortic stenosis, two chronic illnesses that affect the body's ability to pump blood from the heart. These conditions contributed to Frank's death.

Ahead of his death, Frank was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. TMZ reported this "may have [also] played a role" in his death.

His friend Mike confirmed the death to fans with a long heartfelt caption. It read: "It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night. I’ve know Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself."

He continued: "Who would have ever dreamed we would share the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures. Before the show we would take off together to places we never knew existed with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic."

The two went on "countless trips." Mike admitted to being "blessed" to have been by Frank's side when he "took one last journey home." Mike expressed his love for Frank and how Frank is "in a better place."

The two starred on American Pickers where they would travel across the country looking for rare artifacts and antiques to buy from the collectors and add to their personal collections or sell.
