Texas Border: More Terror Watchlist Migrants Arrested
9 hours ago
Several alarming trends we have been reporting recently along the Texas - Mexico Border are - unfortunately - continuing, including the discovery of more migrants on a United States terror watchlist who illegally crossed the Rio Grande.
These "Special Interest Migrants "- who, according to the Department of Homeland Security could "potentially pose a national security risk to the United States or its interests," were amonga group of 165 illegal immigrants encountered by DPS Officers in Quemado, just outside of Eagle Pass.
The apprehension of another large (100+) group of migrants who illegally crossed into Texas near Eagle Pass continues a trend the Border Patrol noticed beginning late last month - and which we first reported on October 11, 2024. (You can read more about that HERE).
The arrests included illegal immigrants from Peru, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, and Ecuador.
Also within that group were 29 unaccompanied childrenranging in age from 10 to 17. All had the address of a “sponsor” in New York, California, Colorado, Florida, Maine, & other states. The children were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
57 of the adults apprehended by Texas State Troopers face state charges of criminal trespass on private ranchland.
Finally - another case involving a large group of migrants -has been reported from the El Paso Border Patrol Sector. Agents there apprehended 15 migrants inside a single vehicle being smuggled into the United States from Mexico.
Is enough being done to secure the border with Mexico?
