In order to unlock it, you need to you use the gauntlet runner to visit Komero village and retrieve a Relic for Neuras. Neuras’s Bond only ranks up when you find a new Relic to show him. This Relic hunt is part of a long questline that steadily advances as you progress through the main story. After finding the first Relic, Neuras will place a notebook at the entrance to the Engine Room on the gauntlet runner. A new clue for the next Relic location always appears after you complete a major dungeon. These Relics are often found in optional dungeons, and Gallica will tell you when a Relic is inside a dungeon as soon as you enter. You need to find Relics to initiate Neuras’s events, but his Bond rank always increases at the end of each conversation.
